Current Tradestation Platform Version Utilized                                          to verify ELD and Workspace for clients    Note: this page will be updated as new versions of Tradestation are released... clients can check this page in the future to see which tradestation version we are recommending/using.    Using the latest Tradestation version is not the best choice. Having used Tradestation Platform for many years we have learned to adapt to Tradestation Inc and release of product upgrades. In General the newest Tradestation (TS) version often will have bugs/glitches. Sometimes these issues are very significant while other times they are minor insignificant glitches. We are not picking on TS as this is true for all software producers e.g. Microsoft windows. Therefor We have learned that it is wise practice to stay one version behind the latest Tradestation version and allow some time for the bugs to be resolved. If you have difficulties and are running the latest Tradestation version we recommend that you migrate to a previous version.     Current Tradestation Version used to verify ELD for clients    Currently we are using Tradestation 9.0 (Update 9012) to verify ELD for clients.    Current Tradestation Version used to export Workspace for clients    Currently we are using Tradestation 9.0 (Update 9012) to export Workspace for clients.    Current Tradestation Version Recommended   Tradestation 9.0 Tradestation 9.1 NOT RECOMMENDED (once 9.1 proves to be stable and bug free we will update this page) Note: with TS 9.1, if using indicators that rely on ELCollections.dll, you must Disable multiple CPU core option. You can disable multiple CPU core from View >> Chart Analysis Preferences.    Tradestation(TS) Compatibility across different versions Tradestation is not backward compatible but it is forward compatible. What does this mean for clients?? Tradestation Is not Backward compatible, an ELD or Workspace sent from TS 9.0 will not work on TS versions released prior to 9.0   e.g. an ELD created in TS 9.0 will not work with TS 8.8    Tradestation Is Forward compatible, an ELD or Workspace sent from TS 9.0 will work on TS 9.0 and any higher TS versions released after 9.0 Note: Assuming that future TS versions have been released for some time and all bugs/glitches have been solved by Tradestation software department.
